No Pictures This Year!

Kathleen, on her blog The Volunteer Kat (http://volunteerkat.blogspot.com/), is documenting her experiences volunteering at this year's festival. One interesting thing on her blog is that apparently, for the first time, the festival is going to prohibit cameras inside the theatres, including during the Q&A sessions, probably to try to cut down on possible piracy.

Does that apply to cell-phone cameras? If not, then what’s the point? But almost new cell phones have a camera, so I don’t see how they can prohibit them from being brought into the theatre.

The post wasn't clear on whether cell phone cameras would be included. It did say that since this will be the first year they are trying to actively do this, they wouldn't be too hard-nosed while enforcing it. I can understand wanting to combat piracy, but on the other hand, stopping people from taking pictures during a Q&A takes something away from the whole experience.
